About the 7th District
The 7th District of Virginia spans from the west end of the City of Richmond and its surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover and Henrico, before heading north through Louisa County and President James Madison’s home Montpelier in Orange County, to the Civil War battlefields in Spotsylvania County and into Culpeper County at the northern end of the district, in addition to encompassing Page, Rappahannock, and Madison Counties and parts of Caroline.
