That 3000 people were wiling to stand in the hot sun for hours just to be able to put their resume in the hands of a real person is a testament to the level of desparation out here.

Please note: the official unemployment rate seems to be based on the number of NEW applications for unemployment. This does not account for the many people (myself included, since Aug 2008) who have used up their unemployment benefits and are still out of work.

Good job. This is where job creation really counts. The so-called job creation that the administration has been reporting has been largely in the government sector....government bureaucrats creating more government jobs, building nothing but bigger government, paid for, of course, by the tax payers... so in the end it will be more of a drag on the economy than a true stimulus. Hopefully, the voters will see through the big government job creation program for what it is....a huge scam and fraud levied against taxpayers.

I am proud of my Congressman, Eric Cantor and he did what others should do. That is getting the people and the employers together to start moving this country forward again by putting people back to work. Then the people will feel they are doing something worthwhile and then they will have hope for the future of this nation. Marie Quinn
