November 13th, 2009 at 4:37 pmCongratulations on all that you have done for the Republican Party-Thanks for the support of the Ticket in Virginia! We have got to take this country back!
My sincere apologies for not being able to support the party more financially this year, but please understand that I am a small businessman and I am down right now, really down, working harder than ever before but credit lines are non existent and 60% of my customers are Municipal, County State entities – their budgets have been slashed!

November 13th, 2009 at 7:41 pmIt is about TIME the GOP takes action to secure America as a free Nation!!! Be CLEAR in your policies…get the mush out of your mouths. talk to Americas people with clarity…we pay your salary and we therefore demand honesty and good policies for us all. You must buck all the nonsense the Dems/Obama are putting out….I honestly don’t know who Obama is or who he stands for. Get Anerica back to what our Founding Fathers wanted…if you don’t know then read your history and the Constitution! Glad CNN did an interview.

November 14th, 2009 at 1:20 pmI feel that McDonnell will bring Virginia back to good times (more jobs, will not increase taxes etc.).
My husband and I have always supported you and really admire how you have stood up to the people in Washington who seem to want to destroy our Country.
Deborah Reed Says:
November 14th, 2009 at 8:35 pmI am from Madison County, Va. and I applaud his stand on all issues. I am a Republican and look forward to our party regaining control. It is scary what the far left Democrats are trying to do in our Country.
Sandra Vlieger Says:
November 14th, 2009 at 10:14 pmI’m from Richmond, VA and Eric Cantor is the only politician from Virginia that I trust completely. He a fiscal conservative. I’ve lost faith in most politicians but Eric Cantor is one that I really support. And unlike Senator Webb or Senator Warner, Congressman Cantor responds to all my letters and e-mails with a personal letter. And those letters address my concerns unlike the standard forms that the senators send out in an e-mail. Thank Congressman Cantor for all your work.
Alicia Brittlee Says:
November 15th, 2009 at 6:39 pmOnce again, Eric Cantor, has clearly and succinctly articulated the Republican position on the economy (jobs and healthcare) which is the focus of every family’s discussions as they do their budgeting at the kitchen table. And, he has outlined the positions the Republicans have introduced as alternatives to the White House’s big spending initiatives. The Republicans are a party of sound, workable ideas because of the leadership of Virginia’s 7th District Congressman.
Jane Boyd Says:
November 19th, 2009 at 7:10 pmWhat a great piece! If anyone can lead the Republicans to success, it’s Eric Cantor!
Jessica Carlson Says:
November 19th, 2009 at 7:14 pmI definitely agree that Republicans need to get on the same page, and Eric Cantor is the leader that we need to accomplish our goals!
Robert Tye Says:
November 19th, 2009 at 8:08 pmKeep up the good work – make everyone read every page, no, every word , of every bill that they vote on.

November 19th, 2009 at 9:10 pmI am sure glad to hear Eric Cantor and him along with Sara Palin will make a GREAT ticket for President in 2012. Go Eric!!
Maggie D. Says:
November 19th, 2009 at 9:17 pmEric – you have it together! I see you succeeding in the upcoming election. We need to get representatives in office that care about the Constitution and keeping our Freedom is so very important. The Cap and Trade is just horrible and the Government Run Health Care contains so many TAX HIKES that Americans will NEVER see the light of day let alone our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This TAX and SPENDING have got to STOP! The Obama Administration isn’t listening to the majority but rather the minority and we need to TAKE BACK our Great Country before they RUIN IT!
Great job. Keep up the good work. We need more leaders like you.

November 19th, 2009 at 10:16 pmWe are glad to see that CNN is featuring interviews with sound leadership like that from Eric Cantor. People who voted for OBAMA were very “naive” about what “communism” is about. They are finding out that “tyrannical” governing is never a solution to a better way of life. The “strength” of this country rest in “We the people” and that we stand on “In God we trust.” Come 2012 and there will be some major clean “sweep” as we just saw in the recent Virginia election. GO ERIC CANTOR, BOB McDONNELL, BILL BOLLING, and KEN CUCCINELLI!
Chris Miller Says:
November 20th, 2009 at 8:35 amCongressman –
We like what we hear, but conservatives are skeptical – The neo-Cons and RINOs have been mouthing the same ideals for years, only to spend and expand government. Focus on limited government. Challenge EVERY bill [both funding and law/regulation] that does not fall within a strict interpretation of Article I Section 8 of the US Constitution.
The Constitution clearly enumerates the powers surrendered by the collective States – every other action violates the oath that every elected Federal official has taken, and is traitorous.
Here in Minnesota, a comedian was elected to the Senate because conservatives will no longer contribute nor work to elect RINOs. The party must draw a clear line to differentiate from the Democrat/Socialists. It is up to you – get it done.
You’re right that Republicans need to get back to their core principles of strong national security, fiscal and personal responsibility, smaller government and lower taxes, and the importance of faith in God in everyday life.
However, there are some other things holding the party back. Open primaries, where Democrats are allowed to choose our candidates, should be eliminated. (By the time of Virginia’s primary in the last election cycle, there was nobody left who espoused the principles I feel are important!) Furthermore, we should proudly proclaim our core principles, including the right to life on both ends of the spectrum. If there are Republicans who don’t like our principles (RINOs) let them leave the party as Alan Specter did.
Freedom of choice is an American ideal. What the President has proposed, in health care reform, cap and trade, takeover of the auto industry, salary caps, etc. is just the opposite. What we need is a government that will leave us alone and let us solve our own problems. In my opinion, the chief purpose for government is to keep the country secure. That’s a job not being done adequately by the present administration.
Keep articulating our core principles! Thanks for a job well-done.

I only wish the tea party people would find a direction and also learn/admit that the real corruption in Washington is coming from the dems and not the republicans.
