Leading experts and archeologists have been raising the alarm, trying to warn the international community of the damage that is being done on the Temple Mount to sacred Jewish and Christian artifacts from the First and Second Temple eras.
The Islamic Wakf, which Israel granted day-to-day management of the site in 1967, has been recently resumed their program of bulldozing the site and then literally throwing those sacred artifacts into dumpsters.
The Wakf denies that the First and Second Temples ever existed; by destroying the artifacts, they seek to erase the proof of Jewish and Christian heritage on the Temple Mount. This development would then be used to undermine Israel’s rightful historic claim on the land – we must not let their efforts succeed.
